Introduction
In the last three years, the Center for Constitutionalism and Demilitarisation successfully pioneered a governance training programme in three of Nigeria's six geopolitical zone, namely, South-East, South-South and North-Central with support from the Ford Foundation.
A total of 197 persons with varying backgrounds in governmental institutions and civil society benefited.

Balance of Power and Global Politics:
Overviews bipolarity, Non-aligned Movement, Collapse of the Soviet Union, the unipolar moment and effect on contemporary politics as well as relevance of BOP to local dynamics.
New Trends in Development:
Deals with the issues in Development, theories and paradigms as well as approaches to development in Third World, the North/South bifurcation.
Corporate Governance:
Focuses on issues of corporate social responsibility (CSR) with specific focus on Banks and MNCs on real sector development.
Globalisation:
Deals with core issues in globalisation such as convergence, digital divide, contemporary global issues, Asian financial crisis, liberalism and democratisation etc.
World Resources and Management:
Global resources and how the relative scarcity and distribution affects regions of the world; it will focus on availability of fresh water resources and environmental sustainability.
The economics of privatization and deregulation policies:
Examines state-led development, World Bank/IMF, Policy proscriptions, Impact of privatization and deregulation on national development.
Leadership and Governance:
Examines types of government, presidential parliamentary, monarchy and the whole concept of good governance and transparency.
Global Governance and Defence Update:
Reviews military expenditure on a global scale and comparative analysis of military capacity among nations. The position of Multinational Corporations (MNCs), Private Military Companies (PMCs), World Bank/IMF and World Trade Organisation (WTO) in international relations of production.
Conflict/Conflict resolution.
Overviews conflicts in different regions of the world their causes and transformations.

Expectation
